You almost don’t need a recipe for this as it’s so darn easy. Adding chia to yogurt the night before gives your breakfast a big nutrient-boost adding omega 3 fatty acids, iron, calcium, magnesium, fibre & more.
- About 3/4 cup of plain yogurt (can use Greek if desired)
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds
- 1/2 cup of fresh or frozen berries, split into 2.
- Drizzle of honey (if desired)
Grab a single-serving jam jar or 8oz mason jar. Put your favourite fresh or frozen berries at the bottom. Plop in your natural probiotic yogurt (can be Greek or plain) until jar is 3/4 full. Stir in the chia seeds and honey, if using. Top with remaining fruit. Close the lid, place in fridge over night.
I like using frozen berries as the juices are released as they thaw, sweetening the whole jar naturally. Give it a good stir in the morning and enjoy!
